AIB out with in -house journal

Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB),-Nigeria has just launched the maiden edition of its quarterly publication, for the months of April to June, 2015.

According to the Head of Public Affairs Unit of the organisation, Mr. Tunji Oketunbi, ‘The Investigator’ is an in-house publication of the organisation.

Its focus according to him is to present the public; the revolutionary strides of the organisation, and to enhance its brand development.

The Magazine cover focuses on an insightful interview with the head of the organisation, Commissioner/CEO, Dr. Felix Abali on the achievements, challenges and its prospects under his watch.

The edition also focuses on the values, a newly constructed Wreckage Hanger that was handed over to AIB, brings to its operations.

It, in addition, showcases the tested and tried Flight safety laboratory analysis centre, that was effectively used to analyse the Associated Airlines crash of last year, which put to sleep the issue of capital flight and the history behind it-which is the beginning of information dissemination on accident investigation.

NAMA MOURNS AS FORMER MD ,MOHAMMED YUSUFU LAID TO REST A huge pall of grief has enveloped the entire NAMA family following the news early in the week that Alhaji Mohamed Yusufu, second Managing Director of the agency had passed on. The late Alhaji Yusufu who held sway as NAMA boss between 2001 and 2004 was born in Kogi State in 1948. He joined the then Nigerian Civil Aviation Department as an Air Traffic Controller in 1967 after graduating from the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) Zaria. By dint of hard work, commitment and dedication to duty, Alhaji Yusufu rose through the ranks to become a General Manager in 1995 and Managing Director/ Chief Executive of NAMA in 2001.
