Things the flight crew really thinks of you

Share Have you ever wondered about your flight crew? How they live, act in certain way, etc.? In this article we  will tell you several very interesting facts, some of which might even shock you. 1. “I’ll come back with more information as soon as I have some” This will be sometime-never. If it’s a technical issue, do I look like a mechanic? Not in this outfit, darling. If it’s a weather related delay, well no, I can’t work miracles and make the fog disappear, or make the snow melt. To be fair, you’re over-worked and under-paid cabin crews are always the last people to know anything anyway, so there’s not much point asking us. 2. “There’s no need to worry, our aircraft are perfectly safe!” If you ignore the gaffer tape on the wing, the broken overhead lockers, the faulty toilet, the sink in the galley that keeps over flowing, the dodgy air conditioning units above row 31 and don’t even get me started on the broken seal around door. Please don’t be ala

Analyst: Search area is "the place they had to look" Augusta, Australia (CNN) -- A metal object that washed ashore on Australia's coast wasn't from Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, officials said. Detailed pictures of the object were enough to convince investigators that it wasn't a lead in the search for the missing plane, the Australian agency leading the search for the aircraft said on Thursday . Officials had previously called the piece of metal, which appeared to have rivets on one side, an "object of interest" in the search. Po

MH370 recap: Team searching for missing plane admit it could have LANDED somewhere instead of crashing into ocean

We will bring you news of tomorrow's search as soon as we get it. 9:15 pm US President Barack Obama will become the first American president to visit Malaysia in almost half a century this week. No doubt relatives of those missing passengers from Flight MH370 hope it could lead to some further developments. It is not yet known if Obama will raise the issue of the missing flight. 8:17 pm Despite the concerns that investigators are looking in the wrong place, the search team

Flight MH370 live: Updates after different Malaysia Airlines plane forced to make emergency landing at Kuala Lumpur

6:07 am Relatives of the passengers from missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 have 'expressed dissatisfaction' with a meeting with Malaysian authorities in which financial compensation was discussed. In a statement, relatives said that until "at least a tiny bit of concrete evidence" that the plane crashed is found, authorities should not try to settle the case with final pay-offs. "No meaningful report on the progress of the investigation was given" at the meeting, the relatives said, adding that "not a single one" of their questions was answered. 5:13 am An international team hunting for missing Flight MH370 is trawling the last third of a search zone for wreckage after an unmanned submarine failed to find traces of the aircraft. The Bluefin-21 which bounces sound waves off the Indian Ocean floor to create images of the seabed, has scoured two-thirds of the targeted area without establishing a

Flight MH370 live: Updates after different Malaysia Airlines plane forced to make emergency landing at Kuala Lumpur  By Chris Richards , Anthony Bond , Richard Hartley-Parkinson Here's a map that shows the area that was due to be searched today. However, the air search was called off because of a tropical cyclone. Ten ships will continue to scour the area and the Bluefin-21 underwater drone will work on mapping the sea bed.   Six weeks after Flight MH370 vanished, calls are growing for a review of the current search area. There has been no sign of the plane whatsoever with false leads and only theories to guide searchers. Last week acting transport minister Hishammuddin Hussein announced that there could be a "regroup and reconsideration phase", hinting that the focus of the search was likely to change. 6:39 am As we mentioned earlier, the aerial search for Flight MH370 has been called off due to poor weather conditions.

Flight operations into Kaduna airport have been  restored  following successful deployment of  air traffic facilities at the airport early on Monday . The Engineering staff of the Nigerian Airspace Management  Agency (NAMA), worked round  the clock to ensure that normal flights resume at the airport with the effective  deployment of the Air Traffic Control Mobile Tower.   Earlier today, Aero Contractor was able to operate in and out of the airport without any hitch and several other flights have followed the Aero Contractor operations.    The Nigerian  Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), had issued a NOTAM (Notice To Air Men) to that effect . Flight Instructor On CNN's Coverage Of Missing Plane Fired For 'Shaming Canadians'

Published April 17, 2014 Fox News Latino   TORONTO (AP) –   A Canadian flight simulator business fired an instructor who figured prominently in CNN's coverage of missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, saying he showed up late to his regular job and "shamed Canadians" by dressing like a teenager. uFly company owner Claudio Teixeira said he fired Mitchell Casado on Wednesday in part for refusing to dress professionally and making Canadians "look very bad all over the world." Casado's relaxed style of jeans and plaid shirts attracted wide attention during CNN's constant coverage of the search for the missing flight. CNN's Martin Savidge and Casado logged many hours reporting from the fake cockpit located at the company's office in near the Toronto airport, which has a simulator that is the same model of the lost plane. Teixeira said Casado didn't come to work Tuesday when customers had the simulator booked. "This is
Malaysia Airlines Flight 370: Lack of Plane Debris Keeps Families Hoping Experts Consider Scenarios, Including Many Small Pieces or Near-Intact Plane Below   Australian officials say they are confident they have located the general area where the plane went down. But there is a wide gulf between the conclusions offered by technical experts and what some outspoken family members believe happened to the plane. Without physical evidence, some relatives are skeptical the aircraft crashed in the ocean. They say the plane could well have landed in some isolated spot. "I do not think it is in any sea because if it was, they would have found the broken pieces," said Mohamad Sahril Shaari, whose cousin Muhammad Razahan Zamani, 24 years old, was a passenger. "I think the plane most probably landed somewhere. You should spend time looking for the plane on land." Like many other relatives, he demands evidence of his cousin's fate.
AVIATION  UNIONS SPEAK ON PLANNED MERGER  OF AGENCIES The Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), The National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE) and The National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE) wish to use this opportunity to reject the proposed merger by the Federal Government of three parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Aviation namely, the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). The Unions are shocked by the announced merger which is coming at a time when Nigeria as a signatory to the convention on International Civil Aviation has in the past fourteen (14) years made significant progress in institutionalizing and nurturing the Nigerian civil aviation authority into a sound civil aviation regulatory institution that is now a reference model of a CAA in the west African sub-region and in Africa. We view the decision of the go
