Boeing delivers first -direct delivered next -generation 737-800 to Jin Air

Photos (1) SEATTLE, July 27, 2015  – Boeing  and Jin Air today celebrated the airline’s first direct-delivered Next-Generation 737-800 in Seattle. Jin Air is the low-cost affiliated company of Korean Air. Today’s delivery marks the 13 th Boeing 737-800 to join Jin Air’s all-Boeing fleet. The airline currently serves 16 routes in Asia and operates a total of 15 airplanes, including two 777-200ERs.

Boeing's 10th GPS IIF to modernize Worldwide GPS System

Satellite reaches orbit, sends initial signals Photos (1) CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION, Fla., July 15, 2015  – The 10th Boeing [NYSE: BA] GPS IIF satellite has reached orbit and sent its first signals after being launched earlier today. This satellite advances the U.S. Air Force’s modernization program for GPS, improving accuracy and enhancing security for the navigation system used by millions of people around the world every day. The Boeing-built GPS IIFs are the newest generation of GPS satellites, delivering a longer design life, greater accuracy, increased signal power for civil applications, a more robust military M-code signal and variable power for better jamming resistance. The IIFs also are outfitted with the new civilian L-5 signal which, when fully operational, will be used for emergency applications. NAMA AIR TRAFFIC ENGINEERS SET FOR LICENSE

A total of 17 engineering personnel of  Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) ,  from the Directorate of Air Traffic Safety Electr onics Services (ATSES) on Friday   graduated from the Nigerian College of Av iation Technology (NCAT) after undergoing a three-month preparatory course for  the  Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel License  issued by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).   The course which began in April 2015 is designed to prepare qualified engineers to e ffectively man CNS/ATM infrastructure , ICT  equipment as well as power systems.  Speaking at  the  NCAT main auditorium, venue of the graduation, NAMA Managing Director, Engineer Ibrahim  Abdulsalam  who was represented by the Director of Safety Electronics and Engineering Services, Engr. 2020 Olympic:Boeing,Japanese aviation industry unveils biofuel

'Perfect opportunity' to show environmental commitment of Japan and its airline Boeing and Japanese aviation industry stakeholders have charted a course to develop sustainable aviation biofuel for flights during the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in  Tokyo , when millions of people are expected to visit  Japan . The Initiatives for Next Generation Aviation Fuels (INAF) – a consortium of 46 organizations including Boeing, ANA (All Nippon Airways), Japan Airlines, Nippon Cargo Airlines,  Japan's  government and the  University of Tokyo  – laid out a five-year "roadmap" to develop biofuel by 2020 as a way to reduce aviation's environmental footprint. Using sustainably produced biofuel reduces lifecycle carbon dioxide emissions by 50 to 80 percent compared to conventional petroleum fuel, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. NAMA HOSTS ASECNA AND GCAA OVER AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL

  IN a bid to further enhance safety of air navigation within the AFI region, the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) last week hosted a two-day tripartite cooperation meeting with Ghana Civil Aviation  Authority  (GCAA) and  Agency for Aerial Navigation Safety in Africa and  Madagascar  ( ASECNA )  at the agency’s head quarters in Lagos. Among other issues,  the meeting sought to ensure safe, effective and efficient management of traffic across their common borders within the African airspace. Vital resolutions that would aid in the management of traffic in the upper airspace within the three states were also reached. Further discussions on the management of traffic in the oceanic airspace are expected to continue at a later meeting slated to hold between July 13 th  and 15 th  in Dakar, Senegal to be presided by  the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). In the last seven years, I have been subjected to the most malicious, vicious, sinister, well-orchestrated, insidious and devastating form of political persecution and wickedness. The whole process almost destroyed my life, my family, my reputation, my health and my career.
