NAMA AIR TRAFFIC ENGINEERS SET FOR LICENSE



A total of 17 engineering personnel of  Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), from the Directorate of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Services (ATSES) on Friday graduated from the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) after undergoing a three-month preparatory course for the Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel License issued by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

 The course which began in April 2015 is designed to prepare qualified engineers to effectively man CNS/ATM infrastructure, ICT equipmentas well as power systems. 

Speaking at the NCAT main auditorium, venue of the graduation, NAMA Managing Director, Engineer Ibrahim Abdulsalam who was represented by the Director of Safety Electronics and Engineering Services, Engr. Emma Anasi congratulated the participants for justifying management’s huge investment in the training by successfully rounding off the programme.”

 Engr. Abdulsalam also expressed confidence that the training would equip participants with the necessary skills and latest trends required for them to contribute positively towards improving the safety of air navigation in the country.

NAMA INTERNS GET CORPORATE ORIENTATION  

INDUSTRIAL attaches posted to the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) are to benefit from a corporate training intended to give them a general overview of the agency’s statutory mandate as the nation’s sole air navigation service provider.

 The training which comes up on Tuesday, the 14th of July 2015 at NAMA headquarters complex, Lagos is titled: NAMA Corporate Philosophy and Culture. A statement from the office of the Director of Human Resourcesenjoins all industrial attaches and those who have not participated in previous orientation programmes to take advantage of the training by reporting at the ICT Learning Centre, NAMA Headquarters on the above date.

Air Traffic Controllers Suspend Warning Strike...In Crucial Meeting With NAMA Management

Normalcy has returned to the nation's airspace as  Air Traffic Controllers stepped down it warning strike which informed spacing of traffic flow by 20 minutes at four major airports in Lagos,Abuja, Portharcourt and Kano. The  suspension,according to a statement signed by the Managing Director of the Agency , Capt. Fola Akinkuotu is to allow " for a follow-up meeting between NAMA management, Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Association, scheduled to hold later today".  Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) reassured airspace users and the general public that the Nigerian airspace remains safe for seamless and economic air travel.  The agency expressed regret over streaks of  inconveniences caused earlier today by the warning strike. ABUJA RUNWAY AND ITS MANY TROUBLES

Runway 022, Abuja remains a night mare for the foreign airlines that frequently complaints about the rutted runway surface which has caused structural damage to under carriage of most aircraft on landing.
