Alh.Ibrahim Idrisu, Former NAMA Director of Finance &Admin Is Dead

 Former Director of Finance and Administration, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency( NAMA),Alhaji Ibrahim Idrisu is dead. Idrisu , according to family sources died on Monday evening after a brief sickness. He  will be buried later today in his home town Agbede, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State. Until his death,he was a senior lecturer at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Lagos Campus and lately the Deputy Director, School of Business. Idrisu,while serving at NAMA was loved by all because of his humility, dedication to duty  and above all, accessibility to staff and the general public.

NCC COLLABORATES WITH MTN TO INSTALL FREE WI-FI IN SAMUEL LADOKE AKINTOLA AIRPORT IBADAN

   The bid to improve passenger service at Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport,Ibadan to International Standard has received a boost with the installation of free unlimited Wi-Fi internet access at the airport by The Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC), in collaboration with MTN.       The free internet facility is to compliment the multi million naira projects embarked on by the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde to turn the airport to International standard. Passengers waiting for flights at Ibadan Airport can now stay connected by occupying themselves on phones or computers as free internet Wi-Fi is now available at the airport.   The free wifi has five access points within the terminal with 500 meters coverage and it is limitless.   The Internet is backed up with two(2) 5.5KVA Hybrid on-line inverter and thirty-two (32) 380 watts solar panel. It also has two (2) battery racks with Sixteen (16) 12V/200 Amps solar recharge.

Female Virgin Atlantic Passenger Nabbed At Heathrow Airport Over Narcotics

  Heathrow airport A Nigerian female Virgin Atlantic passenger on flight VS 412 from Lagos was on Thursday arrested at the terminal 3 of Heathrow Airport by security operatives over illegal importation of illicit drugs into the United Kingdom. But tongues are waggling on how the lady beat the various security screening points at the premier airport in Lagos only to be arrested in UK. A source within the airport said she must have been assisted to board the flight by some security personnel already bought over by drug barons. "It is a network , notwithstanding the security apparatus put in place to block the loopholes", the source added. The passenger believed to be in her mid 40s,caused stir while on queue for immigration clearance as the ingested drugs caused her heavy discomfort which drew the attention of the British security personnel around . UAE Lifts Visa Ban on Nigerian Travelers

  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Monday in Abu Dhabi, on Monday finalized a historic agreement leading to the immediate lift in visa ban  on Nigerian travelers. By this emerging  agreement, both Etihad Airlines and Emirates Airlines which had ceased operation into Nigeria  are to immediately resume flight services into without any further delay. Red Card For Nigeria Air Over AOC

  Attempt by the Management of controversial Nigeria Air to move a step further in processing the airline's Air Operator Certificate( AOC),has been halted by the regulatory Agency - Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).  The airline management had requested to  proceed to the Phase two of AOC,but  failed to attach the relevant documents with Formal Application Form. NCAA declined the request in a letter entitled, “Re: Request to Proceed to Phase Two of AOC Certification”  dated June 2,2023 with reference number NCAA/DOLTS//GEEN/Vol. III/16123. Capt. O.O Lawani who endorsed the letter on behalf of the Director General,CAA and addressed to the Managing Director  of Nigeria Air,also reminded that" Post Holders letters of commitment to Nigeria Air has tenure of three months and as such expire now".
