Female Virgin Atlantic Passenger Nabbed At Heathrow Airport Over Narcotics

A Nigerian female Virgin Atlantic passenger on flight VS 412 from Lagos was on Thursday arrested at the terminal 3 of Heathrow Airport by security operatives over illegal importation of illicit drugs into the United Kingdom.


But tongues are waggling on how the lady beat the various security screening points at the premier airport in Lagos only to be arrested in UK.

A source within the airport said she must have been assisted to board the flight by some security personnel already bought over by drug barons.

"It is a network , notwithstanding the security apparatus put in place to block the loopholes", the source added.

The passenger believed to be in her mid 40s,caused stir while on queue for immigration clearance as the ingested drugs caused her heavy discomfort which drew the attention of the British security personnel around .

She was subsequently whisked away and subjected to thorough screening and  it was discovered she had ingested some capsules of hard drug believed to be Cocaine.

The handling security personnel were said to have collected  her  small hand bag and travel documents while she was taken away from the terminal for further investigation.

A passenger on board the  flight  who witnessed the scenario at the terminal said  most passengers were amazed that the suspect could go to that extent to risk  her  life with ingestion of hard drugs that almost burst in her stomach.

 Former Director of Finance and Administration, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency( NAMA),Alhaji Ibrahim Idrisu is dead.
