NAMA USHERS IN NEW YEAR WITH PRAYERS
The management and staff of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) were in a spiritual frenzy on Thursday, the 2nd of January, 2014 as the agency organized its first national prayer session to usher in the new year.
The prayer sessions which were held simultaneously at 26 airports across the country featured reading of the scriptures and words of exhortation to encourage staff on the need to re-dedicate themselves to the service of God and humanity.
Leading the prayer session at NAMA headquarters in Lagos, the Managing Director of NAMA Engr. Mazi Nnamdi Udoh, who was reading from Psalm 58, charged the staff to be desirous of good things they could muster to change the face of the agency while performing their duties during the year.
According to Engr. Udoh, NAMA is a sensitive organization with critical responsibilities in the management of air navigation services in the country  which staff must handle professionally and conscientiously, stressing that there was fervent need for honesty, impartiality and the fear of God to define the lives of staff as they discharge their duties.
Specifically, prayers were said for the safety of the nation’s airspace, peace and progress of the agency and the stability of the nation .
The airspace manager, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, Mr Remi Olajire, reacting to the programme, described it as unprecedented in the history of the 14- year old agency. ‘’the national prayer programme as directed by the managing director is spiritual and I believe the prayer of the saints will bring forth success for the aviation sector and the nation in general.

Air Traffic Controllers Suspend Warning Strike...In Crucial Meeting With NAMA Management

Normalcy has returned to the nation's airspace as  Air Traffic Controllers stepped down it warning strike which informed spacing of traffic flow by 20 minutes at four major airports in Lagos,Abuja, Portharcourt and Kano. The  suspension,according to a statement signed by the Managing Director of the Agency , Capt. Fola Akinkuotu is to allow " for a follow-up meeting between NAMA management, Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Association, scheduled to hold later today".  Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) reassured airspace users and the general public that the Nigerian airspace remains safe for seamless and economic air travel.  The agency expressed regret over streaks of  inconveniences caused earlier today by the warning strike. ABUJA RUNWAY AND ITS MANY TROUBLES

Runway 022, Abuja remains a night mare for the foreign airlines that frequently complaints about the rutted runway surface which has caused structural damage to under carriage of most aircraft on landing.
