NAMA ,THREE OTHER AGENCIES GET NEW BOARDS

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday in Abuja, approved the composition and appointments of the Chairmen and members of the Governing Boards of three aviation  agencies. 
The  agencies are the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMA). A statement by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim  announced the appointment.
Mr Olusola Oke, is the Chairman  NAMA Governing Board  , while Captain Kuti, C.J Udeh, Okwudili Uzoka, Amb Jerry Ugokwe, H.Z Abubakar, Lucky Umoru, Captain Megason,  Group Capt. John Yekorogha and A. Chukwuma are members.     FAAN is  chaired by Dr Dan Kure, while Onuora Chinwe Leticia, Halima Hassan Tukur, Ngozi Lavender, Farouk Gumel, Amobi Nwokafor, Clement Dosunmu, Iboro Edabalge, Muneer Bankole, Henry Unaeze, Dr Al Amin, Patricia Ntofon and Niyi Agbola are  members.
Similarly, the board of NCAA will be chaired by Abdullahi Waziri Tambuwal, while Tony Igbanoi, Sabo Sambo, Frank Edonkumor, Captain Alkali, Alhaji Buba, Emeka Akabueze, Edward Boyo, Sokie Amakree, Ruma Mohammed and Bola Odugbasan will serve as members of the board.
 The board of NIMET, according to the statement will be chaired by Yomi Akintola, with Tunde Taiwo, Jim Ogbolu, Toju Ogisi, Peter Momodu, Mrs Omikunle, Ralph Ogar, Aletche Bimbo, C.C Nwuba and Tony Odita as members.

U.S. Aerospace Industry generates 1.2 million jobs...nets $118.5 billion export sales

  In 2012, the U.S. aerospace industry contributed $118.5 billion in export sales to the U.S. economy.  The industry’s positive trade balance of $70.5 billion is the largest trade surplus of any manufacturing industry and came from exporting 64.3 percent of all aerospace production. NAMA NEWS UPDATE

ARAP STEERING COMMITTEE SUBMITS REPORT ...AS CHIDOKA LAUDS NAMA FOR CREATION OF PMO _THE steering committee of the Aviation Revenue Automation Project (ARAP), inaugurated for the purpose of driving the full automation of all activities in the aviation agencies on Monday submitted its report to the Honourable Minister, Chief Osita Chidoka in Lagos. Among the recommendations of the committee was the need to drive commitment and enforcement to ensure strict compliance by all stakeholders while chief executives of all agencies should be held responsible to ensure that all revenue lines are captured under ARAP platform; also that all agencies should be encouraged to establish the Project Management Office (PMO) as is the case with NAMA.
