NAMA WINS SECOND CONSECUTIVE SERVICE DELIVERY AWARD
The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, NAMA, has been elected by Nigerians as   the most outstanding public institution in the Transport and Aviation Sector in the country for the year 2012/2013 in a poll carried out by the Independent Service Delivery Monitoring Group.
 The agency also came tops in other categories of awards from votes cast by Nigerians across the country. Apart from winning the Excellence Award in Service Delivery, NAMA was also voted the overall 4th Most Outstanding Public Institution in Nigeria.
The award ceremony which took place at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, was attended by a high delegation of NAMA officials including the Director of Human Resources, Dr Uwem Akangson, Director of Operations, Mr John Onyegiri, Director of Administration, Dr Aminu Saleh, and the GM, Planning,Statistics and Research, Mrs Martha Sule.
Receiving the awards on behalf of the Managing Director, Engr. Mazi Nnamdi Udoh, the Director of Human Resources, Dr. Uwem Akangson, thanked the organizers for a good exercise, adding that this recognition by Nigerians would spur the agency to continue to strive for excellence in air navigation service provision.
The formal presentation of the awards to the Managing Director, Engr. Mazi Nnamdi Udoh at the agency’s Lagos head office , was witnessed by the former Assistant  Secretary General of the Airline Operators of Nigeria [AON], Alhaji Mohammed Tukur and the Managing Director of Capital Airlines, Mr Amos Akpan.

Air Traffic Controllers Suspend Warning Strike...In Crucial Meeting With NAMA Management

Normalcy has returned to the nation's airspace as  Air Traffic Controllers stepped down it warning strike which informed spacing of traffic flow by 20 minutes at four major airports in Lagos,Abuja, Portharcourt and Kano. The  suspension,according to a statement signed by the Managing Director of the Agency , Capt. Fola Akinkuotu is to allow " for a follow-up meeting between NAMA management, Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Association, scheduled to hold later today".  Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) reassured airspace users and the general public that the Nigerian airspace remains safe for seamless and economic air travel.  The agency expressed regret over streaks of  inconveniences caused earlier today by the warning strike.
