DOTUN ONI LAID TO REST IN IBADAN ..as MD leads MGT team on condolence visit


 
The remains of Olufemi Adedotun Oni, NAMA’s erstwhile General Manager Administration, were on Friday laid to rest in Ibadan shortly after a crowded funeral service at St. Peter’s Church, Aremo-Ibadan, Oyo State. Earlier on Thursday, the Managing Director, Engr. Ibrahim Abdulsalam, led the management on a condolence visit to the Oni Family house in Ibadan. Engr. Abdulsalam while delivering management’s condolence message to the surviving mother asked her and the entire family to take solace in God who giveth and taketh, praying God to comfort them at this trying moment. The visit was rounded off with a prayer session for the repose of the deceased which was presided over by Engr. Bola Akinribido.

 

FOLLOW UP PERSONNEL AUDIT IN PROGRESS

A follow-up to the last personnel audit carried out by the Federal Ministry of Aviation between the 29th September to 3rd October, 2014 is underway today, 13th October, 2014 at NAMA annex conference room in Lagos. According to a release from the office of the Director of Human Resources, the one-day exercise is to take care of those who could not participate in the previous one for any reason. Affected staff are expected to present originals their letter of first appointment, birth certificate/age declaration, educational certificates among others.

 

MMIA FORMALLY HANDS OVER AIRFIELD LIGHTING TO FAAN

The Airspace Manager, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Mr Remi Olajire, on Friday officially handed over the management of Airfield Lighting and associated equipment, on behalf of NAMA to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). In a brief ceremony at the airport, Mr Olajire remarked that most of the challenges that confronted the service at inception have been surmounted, just as he praised the commitment and dedication of staff of the Airfield Department, at ensuring uninterrupted lighting at the runways. In his response, FAAN Regional Manager, South-West, Engr. Noah Sanya, thanked NAMA for the efficient management of the Airfield Lighting and promised that his organization would maintain the standard already set by NAMA.

Air Traffic Controllers Suspend Warning Strike...In Crucial Meeting With NAMA Management

Normalcy has returned to the nation's airspace as  Air Traffic Controllers stepped down it warning strike which informed spacing of traffic flow by 20 minutes at four major airports in Lagos,Abuja, Portharcourt and Kano. The  suspension,according to a statement signed by the Managing Director of the Agency , Capt. Fola Akinkuotu is to allow " for a follow-up meeting between NAMA management, Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Association, scheduled to hold later today".  Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) reassured airspace users and the general public that the Nigerian airspace remains safe for seamless and economic air travel.  The agency expressed regret over streaks of  inconveniences caused earlier today by the warning strike.
