Majority of 298 casualties of flight MH 17 were from the Netherlands

The Malaysia Airlines plane that was shot down over eastern Ukraine was carrying 298 people from at least 10 countries.
Here is a breakdown of the nationalities of those on board:
Malaysia: 44 (including 15 crew and two infants)
Indonesia: 12 (including one infant)
Canada: 1
The nationalities of 18 of the dead are unconfirmed.
Chinese-language Malaysian news agency Sin Chew released crew member names. All were Malaysian citizens.

Air Traffic Controllers Suspend Warning Strike...In Crucial Meeting With NAMA Management

Normalcy has returned to the nation's airspace as  Air Traffic Controllers stepped down it warning strike which informed spacing of traffic flow by 20 minutes at four major airports in Lagos,Abuja, Portharcourt and Kano. The  suspension,according to a statement signed by the Managing Director of the Agency , Capt. Fola Akinkuotu is to allow " for a follow-up meeting between NAMA management, Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Association, scheduled to hold later today".  Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) reassured airspace users and the general public that the Nigerian airspace remains safe for seamless and economic air travel.  The agency expressed regret over streaks of  inconveniences caused earlier today by the warning strike. Full ATC Services Restored At MMIA As NAMA Deploys Mobile Tower

  The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has successfully deployed a Mobile Control Tower at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, in a swift and strategic response to the recent fire incident that affected critical air-ground communication infrastructure at the old terminal. Speaking during the on-site inspection of the facility, the Director of Safety Electronics and Engineering Services, Engr.
